Tourism is a proud Queensland industry. For decades, Queensland has been a powerhouse  tourism destination in Australia. In the past other States and nations have looked up to the Queensland industry as the example to follow.  Unfortunately, the Labor Government has let that mantle slip, the sector is doing it tough and the Government hasn't planned for the future.

The LNP understands the importance of tourism to the State's economy, and the fundamental role it plays in providing regional services, jobs, investment and growth in towns and communities throughout Queensland. That's why Tourism is a cornerstone of our plan to grow a four pillar economy, not just put all of Queensland's eggs in the mining basket.

Queensland currently has an estimated 92,172 pages of regulation for businesses to comply with.

Queensland's overbearing regulation is hurting our economy with businesses slugged $7 billion in taxes and charges - a 30% increase over the past five years. Meanwhile time-wasting paperwork is driving up costs for consumers.

The LNP knows that Queenslanders would rather get on with doing business than wasting time and money on paperwork - that's why we're asking you to nominate the red tape you hate the most.
