LNP Leader Campbell Newman has made good his commitment to parents, teachers and students in Ashgrove to deliver better facilities by today announcing more than $8.4 million in school upgrades to deliver a range of facilities from new halls to flashing lights on busy adjacent roads.

LNP Leader and Ashgrove Candidate Campbell Newman today announced the LNP will spend $2.5 million upgrading Samford Road intersections to redress traffic congestion in Ashgrove.

LNP invests in local inner-west community groups

LNP candidate for Mt. Coot-tha, Saxon Rice, today announced a $30,000 funding commitment for three environmental groups undertaking clearing and re-vegetation work in Brisbane's inner-west.

The Vera Street Community Garden Group, the Toowong Creek Rehabilitation Group, and the Save Our Waterways Now (SOWN)/Ithaca Intact Group will each receive funds of $10,000 under an LNP government for their initiatives protecting the inner-west's local environment.

LNP candidate for Mr Coot-tha, Saxon Rice, has secured $ 300,000 towards the beautification of the essential retail, business and service hubs of Brisbane's inner-west, it was announced today.

An LNP government will deliver the funds for the beautification of Rosalie Village and Park Road Milton precincts, and will work together with the Brisbane City Council, key stakeholders, local businesses and residents to transform the key inner-west sectors.

Toowong, Milton and Bardon State Schools are set to get flashing lights for their school zones under an LNP government.

LNP candidate for Mt. Coot-tha, Saxon Rice, announced today that funding is now committed to the installation of flashing lights at all three State Schools' zones.

GREENS GO RED Greens and Labor do deal in Mt. Coot-tha

In a desperate bid to maintain his seat, Andrew Fraser is looking for a deal with The Greens for preference votes in the seat of Mount Coot-tha by clearly recommending Labor voters preference The Greens on their state-wide how-to-vote cards.

The Greens have not officially done a deal with Mr Fraser before, which would make this an extraordinary move – and another broken promise from the sitting member, Andrew Fraser.

CanDo fairer fares will lower cost of living

A CanDo LNP government will lower the cost of living for local residents of Brisbane's inner-west and all Queenslanders by halving Labor's 15% fare hikes on public transport.

LNP candidate for Mt. Coot-tha, Saxon Rice, said the LNP was committed to revitalising frontline services, lowering the cost of living for Queensland families and increasing public transport patronage.
