Under Labor the warning statement is separate to the standard contract, adding extra red tape when it could be streamlined.
In addition, Labor introduced the useless sustainability declaration as part of a green preference deal. The sustainability declaration is unnecessarily complex, impacts on people's privacy and is a needless added burden during the stressful time of selling a home.
Labor has allowed the non-stop growth of red tape, fees and charges, and overall compliance costs for hardworking businesses.
Red tape is a $7 billion annual drain on business in Queensland and the Bligh Labor Government has no plans to reign in this impost on Queenslanders.
Recently Labor abolished the principal place of residence concessional rate for stamp duty, costing Queenslanders up to an additional $7000 to buy a home.
The LNP is committed to cutting red tape to help home buyers and businesses across Queensland.
Under a CanDo LNP Government, the existing warning statement will be incorporated in standard contracts without the need for separate documentation.
In addition, the LNP is committed to scrapping Labor's useless sustainability declarations and reintroducing the principal place of residence concessional rate of stamp duty.
This plan will mean less red tape for home buyers and real estate agents and cut the cost of buying and selling homes in Queensland.
You can't have growth in the Queensland economy without a change of government – with your help we'll get Queensland back on track.
